The Basement Music Wasn't Ours

My friend told me this story. Her and her friend were downstairs in the basement listening to music. Everything was chill. My friend didn't really believe in supernatural stuff until this one night.
So they're just chilling when both of them hear what sounded like an old record player playing some old song over the music. She and her friend turned the music down and started looking around because they were playing Lil Baby, and they were both trying to figure out where that old song was coming from.
Then they heard a little girl laughing over the music.
My friend and her guy friend immediately got up and left from down there.

The Song No One Else Heard

I went to a senior citizen home to visit my aunt. We were just sitting there while the TV was on playing some old 90s show.
While I was watching, I suddenly heard a song playing. The lyrics said, "I love you, but I'm leaving."
It sounded so real that I got up to see if someone else was playing the song. I couldn't figure out where it was coming from.
I asked my grandma, "Did you hear that song?"
She looked at me and said, "No."
I was confused because I know what I heard.
The next day, my aunt passed away.
To this day, I still don't know why I was the only one who heard that song.

The Hand in the Cabinet

My friend told me this happened to him when he was really young, so it's a pretty short story.
He said he was coming back home with his neighbor. When they got to his house, he rang the doorbell and looked through the glass on the front door.
As he looked inside, he noticed the kitchen cabinet door was open...
Or at least it looked like it was.
He said it looked like a dark gray hand was holding the cabinet door open.
He didn't stick around to find out what it was.
He said he turned around and left.
To this day, he still doesn't know what he saw.

Monster in the Family

My uncle was nice. I didn't think he was capable of doing what he did.
He used to cook, and I remember whenever parties were thrown, he would be the one cooking. He was quiet, and his house was very clean.
But I don't know... after I saw on the news what he did to those women, it used to feel weird being in that house.
You just wouldn't think a person you know, or even your own family, could hurt someone.
I mean... because I didn't.

The Yoga date

I had this guy come over. I met him on Tinder. He's a nurse and, I believe, a little older than me.
I had never been on a date before, so I wore a cute crop top with leggings.
First of all, the guy was short. I didn't really expect that or go for that, and I'm tall, so I was kinda getting a liiiil turned off by that.
So he came over to my dorm. He was cool. The date was literally us doing yoga positions.
So we sat down, and he played music. It wasn't relaxing—it was like rave music. I'm like, okkkkk. I didn't expect him to play that for a moment of relaxation, but I'm like, what do I know? Whatever.
So we started doing yoga positions. He's looking at me, not really doing it with me. He did one, looked frustrated, and turned off the music like he didn't want to do this anymore.
So I'm like, cool, want to just chill?
Remind you, I'm not really attracted to him, but I mean, he's cool, so we could just chill.
So he sits on my bed and starts talking about my lips and stuff. He's like, "Can I kiss you?"
I'm like, "I don't think I can."
And he's like, "Let's practice."
I'm like, "I don't want to." I mean, I'm not into this guy, and I usually kiss people I like. He was kinda just... eh.
So he gets to saying, "Oh, you got like a model body. I'm tiny."
And I'm like, "Thanks..."
He said he could just pick me up, and I'm like, "Okay then."
Then he literally gets on top of me, and I'm like, "What are you doing?"
He's pinning me down hard, and I can't get up. I'm just like, "I thought we were just going to do yoga."
And he goes, "Oh, you wore that and thought we were going to do yoga?" Then he starts asking why I won't kiss him.
I'm just like, "Will you just get off of me?"
I'm trying to get up, but he's so strong I can't.
Then my ma called my phone. I'm still telling him I want to get up, but I can't.
So when my ma called, I said in a soft voice, "I have to pick up for my ma. Can I please get up? Please."
He goes, "Fine."
Then I just remember my ma asking if I was okay.
I was like, "I'm fine."
I told him my ma was going to come to the dorm. She was not, but I was just trying to get him out.
He didn't want to leave, so I told him I'd call him back when she left.
I never did.
I blocked him on Tinder.

The Boy on Yellow

Ok, so I was like 16 when this happened. I was talking to this guy on this app called Yubo. Well, it was called Yellow at the time. It always reminded me just to be careful talking to people online, but I thought he was cute and very attractive. He was 17.
Anyway, so we started talking, and everything was cool. I thought he was nice, so I got his Snap. I'm like, purrr, this cutie and he got moneyyyyyy.
So we got to talking on Snap. He was like, "We should hang."
I'm like, "We should."
So he calls me, and we do a FaceTime video. The guy, again, it was no catfishing. He was fine fine, so I was happy. I'm like, "Oh yea, I'm definitely meeting him lol."
So we got off the phone, and he goes, "You're so hot."
I'm like, "Thank youuuuu."
I'm 16. I have a baby face, so I'm like, "Sure, I guessssss."
So he goes, "No, fr. My dad thinks it."
I'm like, "What? 🙂"But I'm thinking he's joking, like, "Stop playing with me lol."
He's like, "I'm being fr, I'm serious."
I'm like, "You let your dad see me?"
He goes, "All my girlfriends see my parents, and they do things with them," which I can't mention.
So now I'm genuinely disturbed and bewildered. Like, I can't believe I'm hearing what I'm hearing.
So he goes, "They do it to me too."
So I asked if he was okay because now I'm worried about this kid.
He goes, "Why? I like it."
I'm like, "This is not it."
So I blocked him. 💀
Then I got another notification from a different Snap. It was him, saying he would find me, that he knew where I lived, and asking why I blocked him. He said he could hurt me.
I was scared, and I literally deleted Yellow. I didn't get back on there for a long time.

The Man at the Park

This story still creeps me out.
So I was with my guy friend. We were at the park just chilling. His car had tinted windows, and we stayed there pretty late. We were just talking, and eventually all the other cars started leaving, but we stayed.
There was this little picnic area with a bench. Remember, we were alone... or at least I thought we were.
His car was parked a little ways from the bench, but not that far.
I looked over toward the bench and saw a man.
I couldn't see his face. All I saw was this long cloak, and his face was completely covered. He was just sitting there, not moving at all.
What made it even creepier was the lights around him. They were flickering like crazy.
I tapped my friend and was like, "Do you see that?"
He looked and said, "Yeah, bro... what is he doing?"
I just looked back at him and was like...
"You know... I think it's time to go home."

The Three Knocks

I always heard stories about my dorm from people who stayed there before, but I never really thought nothing of it. I don't really think about paranormal stuff or care to hear about it. Especially after the experiences I've had, I just stay far from that stuff.
I was the only one that made it to my dorm. My roommates weren't coming until the next day, so it was just me.
I closed my bedroom door because I'm just that type of person. I don't like looking at a dark living room when nobody's there. Since it was just me, I figured I could close my door.
It was like 9-something when I literally heard three knocks at my door.
I got up, opened the door, and was like, "Hello?"
Nobody was there.
So I texted my roommate and asked if she was here. She was like, "Naw, I'm coming tomorrow."
I was like...
"Welp... okay.

The Creepy Lady

This story is so strange and creepy. It felt like a movie. I don't know if this lady was trying to scare me or if she just genuinely looked creepy because I had never even seen her before. I knew all the neighbors, so it left an image I truly can't forget.
My ma used to take me to these family parties. We were about to leave, and there's this alley you have to pass through to get out. My ma wasn't really paying attention because she was driving, but I saw this old creepy lady with white hair and an evil look on her face.
As we were driving, she just kept looking at our car.
I'ma say she looked about 90 years old, and she genuinely terrified little me. All night, I kept seeing her face in my mind. To this day, I still remember her face. It's something I truly can't forget.

The Game of Tag

My mother was gone, and my ma allowed everyone to come over that day. One of my cousins came over. I was 11, and he asked me how old I was. I was like, "11."
We all decided to play tag because that's what we were already playing, and he wanted to play with us. I actually thought it was funny because he was like 40-something.
When it was my turn to hide, I decided to hide in the closet. I covered myself with clothes, thinking he wouldn't find me.
He found me.
He grabbed me and dragged me into the bathroom. I got scared and started screaming. He kept saying he always liked me.
My sister heard me screaming, kicked the bathroom door open, and he ran.

The Black Shadow

I really don't remember or understand what I saw, but I remember this was around the time my family wasn't really in a good place. So I decided, you know, I'm a kid... ignore all of that.
One day I wanted to surprise my mother and clean the whole house. It's definitely a surprise because I never did that before.
Anyways, this happened in the bathroom. I was cleaning the tub. Again, I don't remember all the specific details because I'm still confused about it at the age I am now. It just seems so unreal and real at the same time. Like, I can't explain it.
But I was cleaning the tub, and I literally saw a large black shadow coming towards me. It almost looked as if it was going to grab me.
I'm a kid, so I screamed so loud.
Whatever it was disappeared.
It didn't even look like a person. It literally looked like a giant black shadow reaching its hand to grab me and take me. I don't know... I'm a kid. I'm innocent.
When my mom made it home, I was glad she did because I was truly terrified.
I didn't even tell her what I saw. I didn't want her to think her kid had completely lost it.

Bloody Mary

Me and my sisters decided to play Bloody Mary one night. We turned the lights off, closed the bathroom door, and honestly didn't believe any of it was real.
After we did it, we saw something green with a mask.
We all freaked out and ran out of the bathroom.
About three days later, my sister had scratches on her face. We couldn't explain where they came from.
After that, it just felt like the energy around our house changed. We started getting rodents really bad, and everything just felt off. It was like there was this weird, heavy energy around the house.
To this day, I still don't know if playing Bloody Mary had anything to do with it... but after that night, I never wanted to mess with stuff like that again.

The Little Girl

I just want to point out that I was never a believer in ghosts or anything paranormal until this one night.
I was around 7 years old. My mom used to throw these parties where all her family and friends would come over. One of my aunt's friend's kids came over, and we ended up playing soccer outside. It was nighttime, and we were the only kids outside playing.
I kicked the ball over to this specific house. I never saw anyone come from that house. I don't even think anyone lived there. It pretty much looked abandoned. It was creepy looking. It's fixed up now and people live there, but back then it looked empty.
The gate was open, so my friend went to get the ball. I don't remember every little detail because it was so long ago, but I saw a little girl. She had blonde pigtails, a dress on, and looked about 6 years old. I never saw her face. I only saw the back of her because she followed my friend.
I'm literally thinking, Oh, okay... there is someone that lives there. I thought maybe my friend was making a new friend so she could come play soccer with us since we were the only kids outside.
He finally came back...
I asked him, "Did you ask the little girl if she wanted to play?"
He looked at me confused and said...
"What little girl?"

Never Saw That Coming

I don't remember how old I was, 16 or 17, when I met one of the guys from my neighborhood. He was at least 25. We used to play ball with him, but he wound up disappearing, and we weren't seeing him on the court anymore. I remember he worked at McDonald's, just a regular employee. Then I remember hearing that two street workers were dead, and he was the one that did it. I just thought it was crazy because I would've never thought he would do something like that.

The Nice Guy

This happened when I was around 29. I met this guy at CVS. He seemed like a nice gentleman. He was 31, we swapped numbers, and ended up talking on the phone for a while.
One day I drove to his house and, not really understanding the situation I was putting myself in, I left my car there and jumped in his car. We went out to eat, he paid for everything, and honestly everything was chill. We had a good time.
After that, he invited me back to his house. He had a roommate at the time, but the roommate wasn't there.
I thought we were just hanging out.
As soon as we got inside, he took the key out and extra locked the door. That kind of puzzled me. He turned on the TV, put some music on, and we sat on the couch. He asked me what kind of music I liked, and I said Jodeci. We sat there talking for about 45 minutes. Everything still felt completely normal.
Then he moved the pillow I had between us.
He started complimenting me, talking about my nails and my toes, you know... nice things. Then he asked if I wanted to go to the bedroom.
I told him, "No."
We kept talking, but he kept getting closer and closer to me. This dude was about 6'2", and I'm only 5'1". He was very skinny, but I'm tiny.
I tried to FaceTime my brother because something didn't feel right. We started going back and forth because he kept bringing up everything he did for me, and he was basically going off on me because I wasn't interested.
My brother finally answered and was like, "Wassup?"
I told him this dude kept trying to push up on me, and I kept telling him I wanted to leave. The guy started grabbing his head like he was getting frustrated. I told my brother he wasn't letting me out of his crib.
My brother immediately said he was going to call the cops because the dude kept trying to grab my phone.
Eventually, he let me leave because my brother kept saying he was calling the police. Before I walked out, though, he said some pretty rude things to me.
That was a very scary moment for me because, honestly, I thought he was going to hurt me.

The Man at My Door (3 A.M.)

This happened when I was in my room . Me and my friend stayed up talking literally about everything on a school night. I didn't end up going to sleep until around 2:30, almost 3.
I randomly woke up and looked toward my bedroom door. Standing there was a really tall man. Before anyone says it was my glasses, yes I'm farsighted, but my bed isn't that far from my door. I literally saw him.
I sat up and called my stepdad's name because I'm thinking, why are you just standing by my door at this time of night? 🤨
I grabbed my phone to check the time.
3:00 a.m.
I looked back toward the door...
He was gone.
The next morning I asked my stepdad why he was watching me at 3 a.m. He looked confused and said he was asleep the whole night.
I still don't know what I saw.

The Footsteps Behind Me

This was around October. I was with this guy from high school, and we were basically just hanging out. It eventually started getting late, so my mama bear started getting worried. The guy offered to walk me home, but I was like, "Nah, I can walk home." Respectfully.
So as I'm walking home, there's this bridge I call the IT Bridge. It's small and by some houses. I started walking across it and eventually made it off.
Then I did what every person in a scary movie does...
I ignored my surroundings.
So I put on Chris Brown. I remember the song "No Guidance" was playing, but only a little part of the song played because literally over the music, I heard footsteps behind me. I don't know how to explain how close the footsteps were to my feet. It was that close.
I turned around thinking it was some kid trying to scare me since it was the middle of October. I turned around so fast and screamed,
"HEY!"
Complete silence.
No footsteps running.
No doors closing.
Nothing.
Just me...
and silence.
I never figured out what was behind me, but all I know is...
I turned into Bolt after that. 💀
